It looks like people have stopped playing (or at least reporting their matches). It was fun while it lasted but if no one wants to continue, that's fine with me. The event was meant to be a relaxing offseason thing so I hope you guys had as much fun as I did.

Damn, I was really hoping this would go somewhere. I really want BBall tournaments back, it is something small and doesn't require that many people to make or participate.

It would have been fine if it was what it meant to be, and off-season event, but it wasn't. As soon as it seeped into the regular season it was doomed to fail.
Some suggestions:
Make the registration end earlier and have the games start the week after the regular season paused. Also, be sure the finals match ends before the regular season starts up again.
or
Take a page from www.etf2l.org and do a one day cup, where you play all the matches in one day. Or maybe in one weekend. In the past, they took registration on the day of the event.

1v1 Soldier cups, BBALL Cups, Pyro Paintball those type of events are really the hi-value ones as they won't necessarily interefere with the formal matches/leagues since the player requirements are much smaller.

Yea I considered all of the above I just thought people wouldn't have trouble playing a single 4v4 match per week even during regular season. Once again I underestimated people's unreliability when it comes to things like this. But duly noted, thanks.

Sounds like a good plan to me. I plan on holding another tournament in February that would be more down that alley.

How I always played it, Pyro's Flareguns only, Instagib :-)
MikeJS, the guy that wrote the original TF2DM plugin, also has a Pyro Paintball plugin that is a lot of fun. :-)
Plays best 3v3

is poofing of flares allowed? 1vs1 soldier sounds cool. If it isn't 24/7 turris, any ideas for 1on1 maps? I am pretty good at mapmaking but too lazy to make a full map so if there is any specific one that does not exist yet I'll make it if people have the need for it.

To be perfectly honest, I would take the direction to what ETF2L does in EU and try to go that route for NA. So individual cups, easy to follow rules.
