I guess even if you keep to an argument in a civil and intelligent manner, it'll still get deleted. It's not as if these forums are typically dead/dull without discussion that has a hint of controversy or anything, right? Just a furthered reason to use GotFrag, aside from the huge plus of news over the game reaching to more than just those who already play L4D that is.
Alex, I guess these are the "CAL forums" until someone gets banned for outwitting others, haha. At that point one will begin to wonder if it's the "Steam forums."

If I could get a bad game like DoD:S on there, Dan, you know L4D would a piece of cake if it was something actually wanted.

That it is. Those who know me know I always enjoy a good argument for argument's sake.

I am sorry I deleted 12 posts of bullshit. You'll have to suck it up. I like being compared to the CAL forum moderators after a single incident...really shows who is looking out for the community and who respects all the time I have put into it. I don't moderate shit usually unless it's in the competitive recruitment section - for the sake of the section fulfilling its purpose of finding people teams.
Go ahead to Gotfrag...their site blows, their staff blows, their forums have a horrid format, and primary posters are tools (in the case of TF2). Whatever floats your boat, cypher!

OK, i think everyone needs to chill a bit.
Alex - Grahams right and your right, the post were retarded, and he was just deleting clutter. but.... (refer to reply to graham)
Graham - Don't take it all so personal. You were right (refer to reply to Alex), and Alex was also right in the fact that there really is only 20 or so guys keeping these forums going, and if occasional random off topic clutter is what keeps them chatting, then let them for now. If and when the leagues start up and the community grows and better topics emerge, then start regulating them, but for now, let the 20 guys have there bread. They are whats keeping this floating.
Cypher - Your great at stirring fights and i love it, but i think maybe we should focus on community growth rather then community destruction.
Dmon - Your gorgeous

Haha, Graham. For the most part, my posts are typically always made to stir some life into these forums with one controversial view or another. Sometimes they will be arguing a logical perspective, and other times they'll be attempting to counter loose logic of another. It's pleasuring when you get under someone's skin over a single post. Alex does the same. Don't take it to heart <3
Cartire, you're a cutie.

FYI on competitive video game forums you never really 'get under someone's skin'...that's a lost cause especially with FPS gamers. I only take issue with things that are annoying to me personally...it's more of a matter of players (like you) being aware of who deserves to be fucked with and who doesn't. Perhaps respect isn't important in your part of the world but whether it is or not doesn't matter - your actions carry a long way and could someday hinder your abilities to complete some objective. Once again, whatever floats your boat.
quit getting butthurt cal|graham :p
dan still - i love you
alex - ehhh not so much.

Actually, it's quite the contrary with many gamers. They will claim you haven't gotten under their skin, but all the same they begin to have a personal vendetta against you after you've merely just toyed with them through a simple forum post or two. At the same time, it's fun when you can lure someone into an argument against you.
I don't think there's any real 'serious' objective to complete in L4D until Valve decides to choose to let this game thrive (ie releasing the SDK). And, you can't really say you didn't open yourself to being "fucked with" in a playful form when you ruined our fun. To say it's a lack of respect or such is simply over exaggerating things a little :p But, believe me, as Dan and others could attest as well, I know fully well how it can suck doing a lot for a game and its community still act as if they don't appreciate what you've done.

All I am trying to show you guys is that sometimes legitimate threads shouldn't be derailed. The #l4dpug thread started out as an advertisement for the channel and ended with an argument that helped no one. I understand that Clownboat said some stuff that you guys think he shouldn't have and that you want to show him that... But as we near the start of the CEVO tournament and as the community grows, I would appreciate it if the trolling was throttled back on threads that are at least partly legitimate. Sure drop some 'bows on an idiotic statement or assertion...but add your opinion too. Add to the discussion. That's all I am trying to prove to you guys.
