For all those that have joined us on the CommFt Protation servers, please give any feedback.
One thing to note, Lange is looking to release his version of the DM mod in a few days, I will look into that, if that works out the dm_* maps may get pulled out of the standard rotation. We'll see.

I don't think the IPs are accessible enough, maybe make them obvious so more people go to them and join instead of the sad 0 player count :(

I'll talk to Graham about putting a blurb on the frontpage (in a side panel with stats or something.)

North America:

If <8 players are on it plays TF2DM on dm_biosphere, dm_store, dm_barn
between 8-11 players, it switches to KOTH maps
12 and Up is plays the normal CP maps chosen from the league maplists.
Rotating class limits to prevent class spamming, Competitive settings, so no crits, no damage spread, teamtalk. etc..

Rapidly unloading and loading plugins at map change is kinda hairy, the existing one uses a CVAR to turn it on and off..

He lost his code, all he has are the SMX files.

I heard he still had the code for TF2DM, I could be wrong..
Truth be told, with the release of SOAP, it makes having any type of DM on the server kinda meh, I might just start out with KOTH and if number grow switch it to the CP maps..

The issue is, it doesn't appear the service provider has a method for the server to restart itself. I sent a support ticket in to see what the options are, but just ping me on Steam if it down.. I check it about once a day.

I have a pretty large set of suggestions for the server (North America as I don't live in Europe but I'd think these are pretty universal)
Rotation - I think that the Rotation should be the maps used by CEVO (and/or other leagues)
The DM maps need to go, they're not good and no one wants to play them. Implement SOAP DM till more than 8 people are on.
More admins for both the server and the Community Group. Why? Because if we want the servers populated we'll need to start events to get people in there and with more people handling those it's easier to do.
For a full server have a class restriction of 2 of anything except demo and medic (one each respectively)
For playing DM have the class restrictions be 2 scouts, 2 soldiers and 2 demos per team. It doesn't need to be a 4v4 soldier spamfest nor a 4v4 scout infestation keep it fun for everyone.
We're a competitive community lets reflect that in our server, make it no crits, no damage spread and no shotgun spread.
Add voteban/votekick, if admins aren't online and there's a troublesome player online it's better to have a method for the players to remove them than to have the server empty out because of one idiot.
Word filter chat, we want to promote good sportsmanship so lets have it filter out racial slurs and homophobic slurs (cursing is fine, the game is rated M for a reason.)
Block micspam there's a plugin that detects it and bans people that use it.
Alltalk on for when the server is running DM, and off for when it's 8v8 oh and tf_teamtalk 1 because it'll allow for a more teamwork oriented pub server.
Those are the suggestions I have, others can add to the list if they'd like.

Actually, the vast majority of that has just been completed on the North American server. but let me go into a bit more detail.
Rotation got reset, it's mainly move around by vote, the DM maps are still on the server but out of rotation.
SOAP DM is implemented
Class restriction pretty much are off unless it goes into a normal pug mode.
I believe voteban and votekick are there along with votemap.
No crits, no damage spread, shotgun spread etc are all set.
I'll look at a word filter, if your not going to block curse words, it's not really worth the time to block anything else. Truthfully, it's not really big enough of an issue normally.
I'll add the CVAR to disable voice from file.
Alltalk is generally on, with the exception of the pug mode at the moment.
Some other things, the server is now usable for TF2Lobby for those types of activities, also the Mentors here at CommFt can utilize the server for what they need to do. Send me a PM and I get you added.
