Ben and I are working on making a wiki system that will allow community members to compile information on competitive Left 4 Dead. We are looking for individuals with writing skills who would be interested in writing the initial articles on this wiki (we plan on restricting access for a few weeks to these individuals as the article base is constructed). If you are interested in this, please find me in #l4d on GameSurge.net or message me on Steam friends if you have me there.

Still looking for 10-15 more people for this project. We are going to start work next weekend on the wiki.

We have bumped this back to two weeks from now. I am working with some TF2 folks on the competitive TF2 wiki in the interim. Please let me know if you would be interested in helping out.

We have launched the competitive TF2 wiki (http://wiki.commforums.com/doku.php?id=tf2:home) (with sections still under construction) and are going to start work on the L4D wiki (http://wiki.commforums.com/doku.php?id=l4d:home) this weekend. If anyone is interested in helping out, find me in #l4d...my name is jinn_.

We want to get this off the ground this week. Find me on IRC or PM me here if you want to get involved.

Of course, we didn't get it off the ground on the week of the 9th. I am out of town until Monday of next week but I am seriously looking for some people to help with this wiki endeavour. I would like the L4D1 wiki relatively complete by the time L4D2 comes around so I want the foundation done soon. Please find me on Steam when I return from my trip if you want to help.

What are you looking for specifically? Is it just generic stuff like "The auto-shotgun has 10 shells per full reload" or something closer to "To skeet a hunter with either of the shotguns, you'll have to shoot sooner than you think because his hit-box is projected in front of him"?

I'm an English major, and do a decent bit of typing, so depending on the subject matter I'd be happy to help out.

You know, Graham...

From time to time I happen to have some downtime here at work.

Maybe if you point me in the right direction I could also help out with this as well.

Might as well make some contribution to a community I enjoy being around, right?

Yea we are going to match the format of the TF2 side, Kaizoku. As you can see from the TF2 home page (http://wiki.commforums.com/doku.php?id=tf2:home), there will be three main sections with subsections within each. We have not finished the landing pages for the TF2 section but you can see on the left side (with the drop downs) how it is formatted.

It hasn't been started, BloodLane, because only a few people have been interested to get it going. Now that I'm back in town, I'm looking to get it started this week.

That would be killer Visc. Anyone who is interested, PM me on IRC or on Steam if you have me there (Skazzle is my steamname).

Graham and I have begun construction on the L4D wiki and he has created a basic template for specific subjects as well as featured L4D competitive gaming.

If anyone would like to get involved with the articles and/or offer any knowledge of the game itself, we could always use a helping hand.

Either PM him or myself so we can get this sucker launched!

I could try to help, but I'm pretty busy the next few days.

I could try to start writing around Thursday if possible, also, I can fill any spots because I'm up to write about anything really.

If you read the OP you can see that we have restricted posting access to people who contact me on IRC to work on it. We are opening access to the public later this week so you can just wait until then.
