I have been playing a lot of fastlane recently, it seems I keep getting taped off by the enemy demo's stickies, and if I do make it there faster, there is also a scout random pipe or rocket that lowers my health right before I am making my rocket jump to the middle tower, have you guys encountered this, do you have a strategy to go against it? post post post!

Edt: I go through the left house.

A) Leagues still run fastlane?
B) The slope of the tower makes it WAYYY too easy for demomen to pipe you. It's not a necessary position in the slightest.

There really isn't much a Soldier can do to get to mid faster, there's only 2 major jumps you'll do getting to mid; one out of right spawn to the right door at last, and one across the large yard of 2nd point to whatever direction you're heading into mid.

If it's their Scouts giving you problems off the bat getting on the roof, your Scouts really should be more watchful and at least calling them so you can fight them off quickly. Like any mid fight, Scouts should have the other Scouts in check.

Demo trapping your combo is what his job is, so your Demo should endevour to be getting out to mid just as quickly trapping their combo. You'll have to do your best here to fight your way out, and your Scouts and Demo can help taking the Demo out if he's trapping your combo. You could also try sending your Roamer on the opposite side of the Combo, so whichever side the Demo traps, the other Soldier can come in and fight him off. If you're running a Sniper, the Demo is an often exposed target for him.

If it still gives you problems, your team needs to look at what the other has been doing the previous rounds and try to adjust. Are they running a Sniper? If so, who are they dropping for that Sniper? If it's a Scout, your Scouts can be more free to get that lone Scout and get on their Demo. If it's a Soldier, getting on the roof may not even be needed if you can spam their combo well. Where are they coming from? You might want to come from the right side and spam them coming out of their house (their left) before taking roof. The roof is a fantastic position to get to, but don't let it be your only concern.
