how do you think the NA community of TF2 will react to the new map and gameplay type to ESEA-I map. Do you think that the NA TF2 community will react good or bad to it?
Also do you think that this will be a step in introducing new ctf_ maps to comp play?

We tried it in CEVO this past season and got a mixed response. Many within the community had voiced support for its inclusion prior to the season and then once it was that week, there was a strong majority who said it was a terrible map. I think the community will eventually come around with regards to this game style but it may take another season after ESEA S5 for it to happen.

Graham: ESEA just announced their map rotation for Invite Season 5 as including koth_viaduct and ctf_turbine. ehFK has said that you were one of the proponents of this sudden adjustment to the regular map rotation. What is your logic behind the koth selection? Do you think the community is ready for ctf?
Jaeger: I really like the gameplay of koth_viaduct, it has the violence of a badlands initial fight and the strategic attack/defense play of a gravelpit, but it is also more forgiving than gravelpit. I hope the rest of the community gives it a fair chance and we'll see how it plays out because with the teams in this season every match is going to matter.
As far as turbine goes I think that narrowing the differences between North American competitve TF2 and that of the rest of the world is important for its growth. We need to build a repository of knowledge and strategy for this game not unlike StarCraft has. In my opinion getting everyone in the world playing the same maps by the same rules is a good start to collaboration. Also I have a pipe dream which would have us travel to Europe and compete there at LAN to see who is really the best. They play turbine so we better be ready in case the opportunity ever comes up.

vary interesting to hear. i also think that we need to expand as a NA TF community to other maps, orther than the normal stock type

Generally, if the invite division likes Turbine and Viaduct, the rest of the divisions and leagues will follow suit relatively quickly.
Viaduct looks pretty viable in the format, really interested in seeing how it plays out and how serious the teams take the map.

koth will be the most surprising i think because once a team gets it. they have to worry about them taking it back and i think that part is going to set up some major upsets and great matches.
ctf is currently being played in ETF2L and they seem to like it alot. also they have some REALLY good matches between teams on ctf_turbine because just like koth the enemey team has alot of chances to come back and make upsets. so i think this is a step forward in the TF2 community for NA teams and leagues.
