in an effort to make the casts as good as possible with intelligent commentary e-rev is going to be conducting some practice casts.

What does this mean for you?

We need a few teams who are going to be scrimming tomorrow night and thursday night ( if you played your match early, or are playing late) to scrim in the e-rev server. The Match won't be broadcasted but think of it like a dress rehearsal for a play.

If you would like to participate post in this thread and try and schedule a scrim for tommorw or thursday. I won't be on tommorw, but you can hitup Justaddwater, Anger or Mayday in #e-rev on gamesurge if you have set something up.

E-rev wants to bring l4d casting into the mix as soon as next week so stay tuned.

Also e-rev will be doing a MOTW( Match of the week) to allow the community to vote on which matches actualy want to be seen.

Thanks

-Alex

Hello all, my name is Anger from e-rev.tv....

You can contact me many ways:

Steam: anger562
xfire: angerone562
irc: #e-rev on the GameSurge Network

I will, along with the rest of the crew will joining the related L4D irc channels. If there is a channel that we might not know besides the obvious one's, please let us know.

We at e-rev.tv want to give you guys a great product, so we will be in contact with you the team's in the L4D community.
We know a lot of the teams that play various games, so those teams will hear from us quickly, in hopes to get to know the players and such.

Just a quick overview in what we do at e-rev.tv, first of all we try and give the community an great performance, we try our best to do our homework. We may not get everything right the first time, but we will do our damnedest to get it right the next.

We do war rooms, we go in to each teams vent periodically during the match to hear team communication. Please don't worry, there is a one minute lapse from the actual time, to it being broadcasted over the air-waves.

We have instant replay, and from time to time we will bring in special guest casters from the community to join in, and give their expert analysis. Hopefully if you're interested in this, please hit us up and we will do our best to get you in. At the moment we have some pretty high caliber guest casters lined up for our upcoming casts.

Thanks for your time, and hope to talk with you, the L4D community very soon.... Adiossssss.

Hopefully we get to give it a go tonight or sometime soon. I just want to do some relaxed casting with insight into the game, saving excitement for where it is due. NerdyDigger showed me an Australian gamecast where the announcers go ballistic over every minor happening and pounce attempt "HE'S GOING FOR MASSIVE DAMAGE! DOES HE GET ITTTTTTT OHHHHHH HE MISSED!". L4D is a very long game... most other competitive games would be considered long for a match to go past 30 minutes. Trying to make every moment exciting in a long game will wear thin.

Agreed. Save the yelling and screaming for when someone gets incapacitated.

We're playing Virulent Thursday at 9 central. Should be a good match in any event.
