Ive searched this for ages and have tried alot to fix it but i have not found anyone with a issue like it only some that were similier.

Its random so its hard to really pinpoint what could cause it. But i Lock up in game often. Visually its similer to a disconnect when that text appears up in the top right of the screen. Only that text never shows up. On top of that the ingame Soung such as Voices and Mumble continue just fine only my voice does not go through but i can hear all incoming..

Now i should throw in that i recently built up a new machine and on my old Dell i had no problems with this.

Currently running
intel E8500 wolfsdale 3.16
Nvidia 9800 gtx+
750 psu
6gb ram

I'm currently at work and the brand names and smaller detials of these items are illuding me.

I want to blame it on my modem but it doesnt seem like it could really be the problem since i have no issues with any other application and if i was losing connection why would mumble and ingame voice continue to work.

i go through Charter for my internet. Cable modem, used to run wireless before this new place but now im wired into it. And im using the mobo's onboard ethernet which someone suggested maybe trying a ethernet card instead which i will be trying.

As for any other info iw ill have to wait till i get home before i can find anything more out that others may need in helping me diagnose this.

It wouldnt be that big of a problem only i hate having it happen during a Match. And hearing in mumble the soldiers calling out that our medic isnt moving just kinda rubs it in my face a little lol.

maybe this isnt the right forum for this since i didnt really see a tech support type of thing on commft. If no one knows Post those links to places i can ask and get some info.

Could be anything really, I think I used to have this problem a while back and I updated my config and it fixed it. If you're running an old config it might be worthwhile to switch to a more recent version of whatever you're using (m0re's, qlc, etc) or just switching configs entirely to see if it's not a graphical setting or something causing it.

More generically, I'd suggest if you play in fullscreen to switch to -windowed -noborder (launch options) or if you play in windowed try switching to fullscreen and see if it still happens. Hell, it would probably help to even update your video drivers.

That's all I can really say without having more details about the issue.

Yeah i used to run in full screen and im in windowed with no border and it still happens and in terms of configs ive fresh installed tf2/steam twice as well asn reinstalled windows twice.

I also forgot that im running windows 7 64bit home premium and to tell you the truth ive begun to think thats the reason but everyone else i know that runs it has no issues.

My nvidia is up to date, Everything is up to date driver wise. I cant think of any other kind of info i could give that would help.

I havent used m0re's config since i played on my laptop and was unable to run higher then 25 fps. This machine holds fps fine Maxed out i get 120+ which is sweet cause ive never owned a machine that could show any game at this level of graphic and detial.

Lowering settings to fix it would just make me sad really lol.

Maybe i'll try 32bit windows out again if no ideas on here pop up =\
