Just a general question, is there a certain config laying around that people use in Vegas or for L4D itself to give it that movie effect? Sorry it sounds meat, but I need to know.

Export at the highest quality you can to your Non-Linear Editing system. If you want a "film effect" in your NLE play with your shutter speed (film is shot a 24 FPS), contrast filters, and film grain effect. btw I shoot and edit video for a living, hit me up if you got any questions.
