I'm not trying to discourage you and I don't know how good of a sniper you are, but in competitive tf2 people only play the main 4 classes: scout, soldier, demoman, and medic. you should pick one of those classes and try to get good at it.

after you have played a lot of that class (I'm talking like 20 hours) head over to tf2lobby.com and create an account. it's a good place for beginners to learn how the competitive format works.
