While we already have the Community Fortress Top 10 plays of the month that Lange runs, I'd like to see one more monthly video series (that I'll put together, though I'd need someone with a better announcer voice like eXtine to host) that covers the top 10 up and coming players from the lower divisions. The reason I think this could be good is that giving coverage to lower division players will encourage more people to take part in competitive TF2 because they'll see that it isn't just the top teams getting the spotlight.
The only thing I'd like to get from Lange are his assets from the Top 10 plays to keep a consistent look and feel in the two videos. If anyone has suggestions or any comments please say so I'd like to see if this would generate any interest.
P.S. I want me a :bomb: icon Jinn.

I think one Top 10 is enough. You say you want to encourage people to take part in competitive Tf2, but you don't want them to just see the top teams getting the spotlight. How would someone new to competitive TF2 know that Complexity is the top team in NA? If anything, you would want someone new to competitive TF2 to see something like Seagull's play in the January Top 10.
Also if a play is outstanding (despite the skill level of the player), it should make the Top 10. The Top 10 isn't "high level TF2" exclusive. It's just that amazing plays are mostly made by top Tf2 players.

i think that the ap does have a good point, but i think that a separate video dedicated to more average players is a still a nice idea and is worth trying out.

i don't think it should necessarily need to be a video, i think an article interviewing some up-and-coming players or teams from say twl div-2 would work.

I know plenty of players who have never played a single PUG that know the top players because of their frag videos. It's just another way to get some recognition for the lower division players.
Plus I want to work on my editing chops. :P

I think it's an excellent idea. After the January top 10 hit I suggested on GotFrag that other top 10 series would be great. Of course the Top 10 Plays would be the premiere clip, but a top 10 format is great for highlighting other things, like the top 10 upcoming players (non-ESEA, or at least non-Invite). Other sports do this.
I'd certainly be willing to commentate a Top 10 upcoming players vid, would probably try to include tidbits about the players so viewers can actually get to know something about them. I'd also be willing to commentate any other Top 10 vids that get made. If it ends up on the CommFT YouTube page, we'll get you graphics.

Failpushes is too specific, how about just fails of the month? Then we could have a place to immortalize failures like DL's failstab on gravelpit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSZ4oGwsqZs

This sounds like a great idea. There's nothing like sitting down and having a good laugh at your own expense. I'm sure that over the course of a season the community could collectively produce some fine entertainment.

if you want to make a fail video use that 6vs9 pros vs pubstars event for the material.

It sounds like a great idea IMO, gives confidence to the less skilled players.
