Hey people. My steam nickname is Ednon, steamid is edir0x0rz (http://steamcommunity.com/id/edir0x0rz). A few of you might know me already. I'm 21, started playing L4D when it first came out as a casual pubstomp game. I never got serious about it until maybe April or May. That's when I went through a bit of a rough patch and developed an obsession with zombie killing to distract myself.
To give you an idea of my geekdom, I studied a lot of frag videos to help craft my skill. Ones I can remember in particular are Quarantine's, Kaja's, Metal's, Eevee's and of course Visceral's. I've watched just about all the demos available on L4Dnao as well. Even though 95% of them were silent due to Vent use, I still felt like I learned a lot.
My first tournament was Newegg Wanfest. I signed up and got my three best L4D players to join with me. Our first match was a no-show, so we won by default after waiting half an hour. Our second match was with another group of friends that kinda felt like a pubstomp.
Our third match was with Death From Above. We kept a tight game and went into the finale behind by 1k points. We kept our spirits high and managed to get ourselves onto the plane, giving us a 1k point lead after the first half for the finale. During the first tank, they dropped down and went to the back corners of the map. I got an extremely lucky punch with a luggage cart though and managed to down one of them from across the map. I quickly ran over there while my team was keeping them occupied and managed to down another one with it. My team continued to distract and I pretty much cleaned up with that cart before they made it to the radio.
Fourth match was against .sur. We obviously didn't win against them..It wasn't much of a match, but we did get a congrats from Monztuh for surviving a tank, making it to the saferoom once, and actually stopping them once. Not bad for a rag-tag team I suppose.
Like most L4D players, I make frag videos, even though I know once you see one you've seen them all. But here are some links if anyone is interested:

I've told many pro players that I've come across that I picture them in their tight circles hanging out in their v.i.p. lounges in vent. I know it's not true, but it's just a funny image I had in my head when I first started. For a while it's been an aspiration of mine to find acceptance in the pro circuit and actually get recruited by a fairly well known clan, and a few of them have told me that it's not too far from where I am now. So if anyone needs a ringer, I'd be more than happy to prove my worth.
Sorry if this was a bit long, but I figured I'd get it all out there. Happy to be part of the community and hoping to play with some of you guys soon.
