I see that particular match announcements are done on the homepage/blog. I gather only particular people have permissions for that, which makes alot of sense.

Wanted to piggy back on to this post for relevance (http://commforums.com/sourcetv-information-t3169.html?p=50169#post50169) since the request is to have a place to go directly for the ultimate info, such as STV connect information.


My assumption is that blog posts are pre-approved submitters. Given that, allow them (preferably demand them) to post to the CommFT SteamGroup as well. It's news that I think most everyone here would want.


Now, what about non-highlight matches? Again, I'm relatively new...so to me non-highlight matches are those not being posted to the blog for everyone, yet there are some people that might be interested in Pro or Main or Invite level matches. How are these being communicated other than via the grapevine of you competitive homies, like IRC?


One way maybe to allow for this activity (submitting of Match for STV viewing pleasure), while providing some admin control and see how it goes:

1. Make a forum/subforum or what not, and allow only Thread Poster to see OWN threads and Replies.

2. People submit their information of the Match. Hopefully all needed infor is provided.

3. Admins here determine if its quality enough to be either/or/and -- Submitted to the CommFT SG Event log, Moved to a forum for full visibility by everyone else.

if CEVO or XPL would let commFT post sourceTV and match setting info longer than 15 minutes before a match, i'd think of them as being much better than esea.
