Hey guys, two weeks ago, I made a whole bunch of posts about medic classes that I am starting up here pretty soon, and I wanted you all to know that those are getting started up really soon. So now is the time to add me, or tell your new medic to do so. You can contact me at shdwpuppet@teamwarfare.com or add me on steam at http://www.steamcommunity.com/id/shdwpuppet
Now for a little bit about this class.
I will be taking a number of new/low medics (class size will be limited, but I havent decided how many yet) and teaching them the basics of the medic class. This is not an advanced topics class, we will go over everything from basic heal orders to how to manage your team. This class will assume the following things.
1.) You are a new/low medic. This is important to note, low/mid medics will definitely be bored at first in this class. I will be going over the very basics.
2.) You know what competitive TF2 is, though I may go over this super quick, I will assume you know what the format is, what the basic maps are and know how to do things that a pub medic would know. This includes knowing how to uber and all that. I dont want to treat anyone like they are stupid, but I may be tempted at times :P
3.) You will be the main caller on a team. I am a strong proponent of medics being team leaders, at least in game. So I will go over how to call, how to lead and stuff like that.
Preference will be given to two groups of people, medics that I am already mentoring (only one or two will fit into this category) and medics that have a team.
This class will teach the following and possibly many more
Basic Heal orders
Basic heal rollouts
Basic Map strategies from the medic point of view (think where to stand, where to go etc)
Configs
How to self improve as a medic
How to lead your pocket (and how he should lead you)
How to lead your team
Uber management
Uber timing.
We will achieve these goals by joining a server and playing on the physical map, as well as general question and answer, a little bit of me rambling on and watching demos of good players as well as some of your demos.
WHAT I NEED
I dont have a ton of resources since I am currently teamless, so I am in need of someone who can provide me with a server (a match server that isnt in use would be more than sufficient) and a private mumble
Thanks everyone, please contact me if you are interested in a spot. More information is coming soon, including possible dates and times (weekends are most likely given my schedule)
