I've got two monitors hooked up, trying to make it so one of them plays games etc, and the other stays on desktop, can't figure it out, help please.

same setup
running windows 7 pro

basically, whatever monitor you want as your game monitor needs to be setup as your "main" monitor in display settings.

This is usually the monitor that has the taskbar & startmenu on it.

also, this does not mean you can click on the other monitor while a game is running, doing so will minimize the game.

Not if you run it in borderless windowed mode. ^

Then again new Source games are the only games that can do that, as far as I know.

Well... A restart got it to work properly, I found that amusing as I accidentally restarted the PC :P

Torrent Display fusion 3.0 & ultramon. You'll thank me later

Also if you do torrent them, dont update display fusion. Stay with 3.0.

Now, any way that I can confine my mouse to one monitor and like, alt tab to the other? I don't want to launch HoN while I try to skeet a hunter D:

Games will confine your mouse to one screen.

Uninstall HoN. It's bad anyways :D

Ummm, something is wrong then. What games aren't restricting it? Or is it all of them?

I've used dual monitors with 3 different cards, I've had various problems at times but that was never one of them.

L4D seems to let me go to the other desktop, but AvP is working fine with holding it in :|

Also, yeah seems that although the games are a full screen when you do a large sweep and click it minimizes the game. I haven't found a fix for it my self but it only does it with l4d 1 & 2 not with CSS or HoN or anything like that.
