i have a request for name aswell as my title to be changed, however i think that one should be able to do so by purchasing a name/title change in the forum shop.

Usernames are set in stone and that will always be the case. Usernames are the unique identifier used to sync our multiple systems (Joomla, vBulletin, and soon Dokuwiki) and because of this they can never change. If you want a new one, make a new account.
