Agreed. I don't think Valve realized how competitive L4D might be when they first designed the game. They pushed maps out that were designed with campaign mode in mind. Hopefully Valve is paying attention but I wouldn't expect to see changes that quickly since they probably view the competitive L4D community as a minority. It will be up to the community to set the standard. The config changes are a nice start, maybe we could get some community created map changes that could be standardized for leagues to use.
