Caper, I think that's the biggest case of overkill I've ever seen. i7 and 4870 X2 on a CRT? That shit is going to be overkill for the next 3 years if you are still on that CRT lol. I don't blame you though, I'm sticking with my CRT until it blows up, all I'm saying is you could be getting the same performance out of a Q6600 and a 4870 1GB.

My cards are old, very old they are Nvidea special edition 7800's around when the first SLI came out. Built my PC about 4-5 years ago spending around 2700$(my Logitech z5500's & viewsonic vx924 gaming monitor were expensive back then) I have a house fan on the side of my tower to keep my cards from over heating, pushing there limits to 110c they are just getting old.

This pic is a few months old still using my old Razer Diamondback plasma edition.

I have more money in empty beer bottles on my desk than computer equipment - pics later.

Still haven't had time to post my rig. I can tell you that it's not as 'pretty' as those but it serves me well in the long run. :)
