So I've been looking at those Killer NIC cards made by Bigfoot and was wondering what you guys thought about them. I've had my eye on these for a while, but I've yet to try one. Last time I asked some people the general consensus I gathered from others were that it was a waste of of a PCI slot and money, but now I see they have 1x cards and was wondering if they were worth a second glance.

$200 for a NIC card is never a good idea ever unless your so loaded that it doesn't matter.
It's just a marketing scam. Everyone that's actually tried them has noticed to increase in speed. All of the phony reviews profit from each other in some form or another. My 10$ card has worked amazingly well for years, it's your isp that matters. 2c

Yeah that's what I heard when I last looked at these things seriously. Still using onboard NIC and I'm doing fine. My connection is good though.

any product that has that in it's name isnt worth boosting on board 100mhz to 400mhz.
