i type in my rcon password and everything works fine, but when i try to set a password it doesnt set it. i type (after putting in my rcon password) rcon sv_password <name> and it doesnt set. help is appreciated

Try quotes around your selected password maybe?

if i remember correctly you have your password in your server cfg, and then your CAL_personalize.cfg it has a place in there you need to edit as well...

sv_password "xxx"
say "The password has been changed to "xxx"

rcon sv_password "trin"

a buddy got it. it was something with the sv_search key thingy
