I am in the process of reviving my old team, "Ascension" into an L4D team. It used to be a prestige team that played counterstrike 1.6 competitively under the name, "High Velocity". I have 3 solid players so far and I am looking to recruit possibly 2 to 3 more.
I little bit of background on the game for myself I have been playing L4D for half a year now. I spent roughly a month (before i started playing) watching countless online clips, and working with other good online players to make me more aware of all the fine details of the game. I strat designed for High Velocity, so until further new arrivals or considering I will be designing for this group.
I understand that half a year of playing time is minuscule but I assure you my other two friends/teamates have played the game just about since its been out and we(my teamates) are all semi-frustrated with the way teams/recruiting credentials work on l4d in general due to the fact that its a fairly new game in the steam engine. I also KNOW that we are at the point where pug play and ringing is doing little to no improvement on the TEAMWORK skills aspect of the game, which is why I am reviving an L4D version of my old squad.
Last but not least I am looking to spend roughly 2 more weeks of intense training/chemistry building before we do any competitive play. At the end of the 2 weeks I will be launching our website and joining tournaments.
