View Full Version : Sound Byte Plays on Hit

Hello,

So recently I was playing on an ammomod server, and on certain servers it will play a little "bleep" sound whenever you hit the target, aka hit beeps. Is there a way to make it so that it will play on all servers? Is it as simple as putting a sound byte into a file so that it will play or is it more complex or even feasible?

Also, I'm not sure if you're allowed to have a bleep play in competitive play? Can anyone confirm?

Seems like it would offer an unfair advantage, especially for a demo around corners.

No, there is no way to add hit bleeps client wise in that type. The only thing you could do is replace the sounds of characters that take damage with beeps, but that would include self-damage and damage from other players.

Currently, TFTrue has as hitbeep perk available. I will warn that the sound itself is really annoying, because it is the Steam error sound :(
