If no one decides to mentor you, you can solve your own problems by lobbying/scrimming a fuckton. People can't really teach you "when to push" or "placement on each class," you just kind of pick that up after playing as every class in lots of different situations.
Talk about stuff with your team i.e. possible plays, implement them in a match, and see what the results are.

Well the main problem is that all we know how to do is granary and badlands. We get rolled on gpit which is normal for new players in a new team but sometimes I feel that we just need to work together more and have a solid roster and look at the bright side of things more often :3
Our pocket may be leaving, one scout isn't good enough, and imo other players just can't work together too well. Many others have said this team will not last but I like most of everyone in this team but I do think we need to do some major roster revisions since I always top frag behind the medic -_- and I'm not that good. I'm too aggressive and can't protect the medic.

^ dunno what you're talking about but ok.
ideally you comprise a team of people who all have a similar skill level, are active, and enjoy playing one of the 4 competitive classes. if you have a scout who isnt good enough, you should get a new one. if your soldier isn't online enough when everyone else is, get a new one. sounds harsh but at least you'll have an active team. also get some backups too to fill in when your main players aren't available.
in terms of not working together well, who has league experience? whoever knows what they're doing should kind of coordinate what's going on and strategize BEFORE you do your scrim. get everyone into your team's server, walk through where people should be at what times, etc. if you have no idea where to start, watch an stv demo.
http://www.tf2demos.com/
go there, spend 15-20 minutes watching a few rounds, then go back and tell your teammates where they should be or better yet have your entire team watch the demo at the same time. most teams don't have someone coach them on where to go but they figure it out themselves. all it requires is a leader with half an idea of what he's doing in order to get everyone on the same page.
