Ben has finished configuring vBExperience for our forums. As you can see at the top of each of your posts, it shows your "Points", your "Level", and your "Activity". We are unsure exactly what "Activity" is for and how you get it (we'll find out soon enough) but the following are factors in getting "Points":

Points for completing profile
Points for reputation
Points for reputation use
Points for days online
Points for threads
Points for tags
Points for thread votes
Points for replies to own threads
Points for thread views
Points for sticky threads
Points for posts


Ben is working on syncing our other site features with vBExperience. In a few days, you will also get substantial points for the following:

Creation of site articles
Posting of comments to site articles
Uploading files to the Filesharing section
Editing the wiki


"Points" lead to "Levels". We have disabled the "XX points until level XX" part of the plugin because it made the visual too large on each post. Stay tuned...points will enable users to purchase things in a virtual 'store' within a month or so.

I've just enabled points for Site Articles, so Graham's point count is through the roof (sorry Alex, you're now a distant 2nd...)

That's the plan. Inventory will range from site-related upgrades (custom titles, maybe VIP posting rights, a month of free banner ads on the sites/forums) to servers (exclusive discounts, months of free servers) to hopefully accessories. Graham is working on drumming up stuff so stay tuned in the next couple weeks.
