5. AMD has quality products for way less than Intel. Intel isn't worth the price as you don't get as much bang per buck as you do with AMD. AMD is also better for one application at a time such as gaming, where as Intel is better for multi-tasking.

If you always want the highest end stuff,Intel has that on LOCK son!

AMD is great but every time I build a PC I always want the best and Intel is always ahead in that respect

^^^^Typing that on a core i7 overclocked to 4.2ghz :D

Aren't the previous intel core 2 quads faster than the phenom II x4's? And aren't they the same price range?

2. Fallout 3
3. They both Suck
4. Omegle, less masturbatory chats, of course I use text chat anyway.
5. AMD, cheaper, more bang for the buck (IMO 5000 Series > Fermi) (And yes, I know, I'm talking about ATI vs Nvidia, but generally speaking, ATI is owned by AMD, and Nvidia is often used with Intel)

1. UStream. In my experience both have excellent support, but UStream has more options.
2. Hard to choose. Both have excellent mods available for them.
3. HoN if you are looking for serious dota play with your average butthurt pro wannabe community, LoL if you like the design and original heroes, and it's very noob-friendly too.
4. Doesn't matter, both give you pretty much the same experience.
5. http://i.imgur.com/lNFka.jpg From my experience cards and processors from ATI and AMD don't really stack up at all, and I've never had a problem with an nvidia card, however some ATI cards bothered me a lot, so I'll probably never buy one again unless some of nvidia's cards aren't up to par, for example I'd probably buy a fermi if I had a nice rack to put on top of it to grill some nice steaks, but I'd prefer to use it for gaming if it ran a bit cooler and DX11 was actually as used even as much as it is in DX11 benchmark. So until a game comes out build on DX11 engine I'll be here with my 9800GTX+. Going back to processors AMD's aren't as reliable but tend to overclock better, although there's a few really interesting chips that seem to be just terrible in performance that you should look out for. Those Phenom 2 X6 processors don't really hold up in gaming at all, you'll see ones clocked lower and being 4-cored instead of 6-cored beating them. 'But wait', you say,'6core chips aren't optimized yet for gaming!' Yea, that's one of the problems. Intel is planning to speed all the way to 8core processors long before 6core intels will be mainstream, so it's a gamble if 6core AMDs will be as popular or last at the top of the processor food chain for long before those come in to play. There are a few Intels that overclock better than most AMDs. I don't remember the best i5/i7 processor but the Q6600 is a beast overclocker because of the beefy amount of voltage it uses and could be stressed to, from 2.4 to 3ghz without upping the voltage is possible.

HoN is better, that's why you gotta pay. But it's not $30 better IMO.

Ignoring the game itself, HoN's community and the tournaments that are out right now just completely SHIT on what's available for LoL.

I suppose HoN is the more competitive game, but me and the guys I play with aren't all that interested in the tournaments, nor paying money.

Also, the HoN community might be large, but it's also godawful.

rofl if you don't plan on paying money, why would you do LoL? It restricts content unless you pay. On the other hand, HoN has a very similar model to TF2.

The game doesn't restrict everything; only aesthetic options. IP is gained fairly quickly, and buying champions with it isn't a problem to someone who has all the champions he needs (me :>). In theory you can be like me and not spend a dime on LoL.

1. Livestream. IT has more control broadcaster side.
2. Oblivion for me, I don't like being piss poor.
3. In the end, I'm indifferent. I play LoL more due to the fact my friends play it and the game runs off of the tf2 style of vision on silhouettey style. In HoN the sheer power of the graphics around are amazing, but the game doesn't appeal to me because it has far too much complexity to get around initially. I didn't like DotA, but I like LoL. HoN is cool too, if only because it has so many more features. But in the end, although I like both, I have more friends who play LoL. Plus I love Shen and Singed.
4. Chatroullette. Both are filled with trolls, at least if I want to see penises I can go to Chatroulette to do that.
5. No real preference
6. Obama is way better than you, mostly because he impacts the world on a daily basis.

Also question 7 for new posters (because you gotta have this one)

nvidianvidiaectect...

I've been running 2 radeon 3870s for the past 3 or 4 years without a single hitch. Performance is fantastic and aren't the radeon 5970s beating the gtx 480s? Either way, it's getting harder and harder two see a performance difference from ati to nvidia. They are great companies but they will be beaten to death by :bomb:unlimited detail (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-ATtrImCx4):bomb:.

On a side note, aren't the fermi (tesla) (http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_tesla_C2050_C2070_us.html) used primarily for super computing? Or are the GTX 480s (http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gtx_480_us.html) based on fermi architecture?

I thought fermi had next to nothing to do with gaming, could be wrong though.

I'd say the reverse is true for amd processors, intels overclock much easier. Especially the newest generation i7's that can overclock 3.5+ with air cooling.

Restricts content, I lol'd. The only things you can't unlock through normal play and have to pay for are skins, which are purely cosmetic and have no effect on the gameplay.

I didn't say it bars content. I said it restricts it. Which it does, until you've played enough of it. I, like a majority of TF2 players, feel like the community weapons should be tied to achievements, so they're easily farmable.

But again, the only restricted content is skins, which aren't even available in HoN, so it's somewhat of a moot point.

Along with the fact that yeah, you can get skins for HoN, my point remains valid. Only a few (what, a dozen or so) number of characters are allowed each week, with the rest restricted until you earn enough points/credits/whatever to unlock them. The fact of the matter is that someone who has had the game for 3 matches has a ton less options than someone who has had the game for 300 matches.

I haven't played LoL but I was in the beta for HoN for about 4-5 months and I tell you that game brings out the dick in you and everyone around you. There's almost no courtesy whatsoever, maybe because it's so competitive. The game (and I'm assuming LoL does too) really has a lot to do with what TF2 is all about. You really have to work with your team in order to get anything done. The pushes are almost always organized to some degree as well as with the defenses, people call missing, the way heroes are picked severely affects the outcome, etc it's also an interesting new genre

I can't even play cuz bnet keeps crashing :(

@Hon, I played a little bit of the beta and quit, it was so overwhelming to have all of the heroes thrown at you at once with no tips or anything. I do like the graphics better than lols, and I think the rating system is very good.
@LoL, it's a turnoff that there are people who have an advantage over you before the match even starts, because they either pay money or play the game more (have more points for heroes/runes). The people I play with are higher levels than me so the people I get matched up against are higher levels, so I have a potential disadvantage from the start.
@Fallout3/Oblivion, are both near and dear to my heart. I just think the Oblivion narrative is more compelling than fallouts. Also, I like oblivion because it is more social and not as lonely. Non-multiplayer rpgs are already lonely enough without most everyone being dead XD
@AMD/Intel, I learned a lot here! From what I've read, Intel= more quality AMD= more bang for buck.

yeah this past weekend it has been crashing a lot, they've seem to have fixed it though, I played about 5 or 6 games today with very little lag, of course it is beta so it is good they are figuring everything out now

I suppose this is true. And I wasn't aware you could obtain skins for HoN, my bad. But I don't really see the unlocked characters per week thing as much of a flaw, since with HoN it can be a bit overwhelming at first to have all the characters in front of you but with LoL you learn how to play and play against a few characters every week (at least if you haven't played for long). Then, when you get a bit higher in the levels and IP, you can go with the heroes you buy, with the potential to be against any other hero.

But right when you begin, you're likely to be matched against other people who are also beginning, so you're rarely going to see any other heroes but the weekly ones. (Unless, of course, you're like ManBearPig who only plays once a week with us, and then complains about being behind on levels )

Yeah skins in HoN go under the "Mods" umbrella, which has a strong community behind it (and some would argue that it's too strong).

1. Both Are Terrible, but watchable so I can nerd out on #### vs. #### grand finals.
2. TES IV: Oblivion, lacks brown'n'bloom.
3. League of Legends because it's a fun game that is easy to use, I don't have to pay any money for it, it doesn't take out a page from Warcraft 3 in the art department, and finally while any community involving a DOTA-esque game will be utterly garbage the LoL one is slightly less so.
