If you want to spam/farm for points, spam CONSTRUCTIVELY to our site comments and uploads. Once the wiki is open to public editing, spam CONSTRUCTIVE edits. If you must, spam CONSTRUCTIVE posts on the forum.

DON'T spam forum features you wouldn't use normally. Examples include rating threads all 5s, friend requests from nobodies I've never talked to and rep chains. If you clever fuckers keep finding ways to abuse the system we'll keep adjusting compensation.

The goal of this points economy is (A) encourage involvement and (B) make our community look more attractive to outsiders. Keep this in mind and you'll be on your way to sweet prizes.

We want everyone to use all the features. We just aren't going to give points when its obvious you're rep farming.

If you actually want to use the rep system, use it. If you don't, don't. The feature is still there.

on the bright side, this points thing recently becoming all the rage has at least made the forums a lot more active. prior to that point, I think many could agree that they were pretty damn boring/dead with only a select few continually posting and only one out of five threads actually entertaining.
