hi zuyx,

since you have no competitive experience, i recommend you do the following:

1. read this article which has been around since the beginning of competitive tf2: http://www.gotfrag.com/tf2/story/43759/
it is a bit dated but it will help you get started so you know what your role is as scout.

2. have you taken a look at tf2lobby.com? i strongly recommend you play games there and get a feel for the 6v6 environment. just be aware that those are not organized teams but pick up groups (pugs) so it is laid back and a great place to learn.

3. play a lot more scout. i notice you only have about 8 hours played as scout, and to get a good feel for the class you need to play at least 40 in my opinion. try to have control of which range does which amount of damage. for example, a point blank shot (also known as a meatshot) is 108 damage, and it goes down from there to mid range shots (70-90), and then everything else.

hopefully this gives you an idea of where to start. this way, later on you can approach a mentor with problems and issues that you will probably be having at that point.
