OMG REUNION GAME!

If you win, I'll send you the RAM and the money from the cooling system. I'm keeping the mouse pad though... it's too comfy :D

Still a pathetic excuse. You know with a few changes the game could be good but you're so impatient that when something doesn't get immediately fixed you give up on it.

Baiting is both overpowered and boring for both sides, yet it's what everyone good does. Not competitive. Just shitty and boring. You fix that, and you fix the game.

Valve doesn't fix things after a few months anymore (except TF2). If the game becomes good, maybe people will come back to it. As of right now, no. Only the mid-level teams who still think it takes any kind of skill to get good at this game are sticking around.

More like the people that want to see the game go somewhere are sticking around. I love L4D1. It was taken away from me pretty much. And now this is what is left of it. So I'm supposed to ditch because it's not as good?

Since when has valve been the type of company to fix things in a timely manner? It took them a while to come up with melee fatigue. Every idiot knew that needed to be fixed yet they didn't for months.

I agree that baiting is lame. So let's fix it and stop running off to play TF2 because that game is just as shitty. And I have the right to say it's shitty because I was hardcore into TFC and they pretty much destroyed the game that I know.

Which is why I said before you need to constantly work and show effort in order to make them change it. If you constantly seek to change something, it will eventually get done. Might be a pain in the balls but that's life.

2 words: game balance. Valve didn't do shit (still hasn't lol) for L4D1 game balance. We had to mod out kits, T2, and put tanks on every map in order for it to be SORT OF balanced lol.

TF2 is already balanced (competitively speaking); CS:S is competitively balanced; 1.6 is competitively balanced... should I continue?

Plain and simple, comp CS:S isn't that fun for me. Neither is 1.6 or quake. They're fun, but point-&-click is only fun for so long. TF2 has more depth than those games and I find playing it (competitively) to be more interesting than doing anything in L4D2. L4D1 was more fun for me because on frusmod it at least separated good teams from bad teams.

I heard EG was picking up a L4D2 team. Someone might wanna hop on that. Note, you have a better chance of being on a team with asylum if you havent played in 6 months and need to be carried. Im sure EG will flourish just like I7, Monkey Crew, SHL, and the countless other teams that reformed over and over and over. Kral is right though, i remember quaddcapping all these pro kids like asylum 3 times in one bloodharvest scrim like 7 months ago. 2gud. L4D2 is garbage and everyone in L4D in general has far to big of an ego for a game the relys heavily on chance.

I agree with you that valve doesn't exactly hustle with regards to making game play changes, and frankly, why should they all they're trying to do is make money. Nevertheless, my point is that if we want to salvage L4D2, we have to actively seek that change. If Frustian can balance a game by modding stuff out, surely we can figure a way to go about fixing what's wrong now in this game. It's just a matter of making things happen and not abandoning a cause.

Not liking it and saying it sucks are two very different things. TF2 is good and balanced, L4D2 could be good but is horribly unbalanced not to mention broken in too many ways to count.

L4D1 had problems, but with frustians it was fairly balanced and fun as hell, and there was a decent amount of skill required with frustians. L4D2 just doesn't have the same balance or skill factor. It's easy and there's even more luck and chance involved than there was in the first one, and it has an even lower skill ceiling than the first game.

No salvaging is required. Games dead.

There is already a mod for L4D2 that does far more than frustians ever did for L4D1, and yet the game is STILL more broken and unbalanced than the first. It's out of the modders hands at this point, any other big changes will have to be made by Valve. The game is broken at a very basic level, besides having lots of mechanics that make it as much luck based as skill based, making it harder for survivors only balances it to a point, the SI themselves are broken and far less versatile than their L4D1 counterparts. People say that L4D2 is more 'dynamic' than L4D1, but all they're really saying is that it's based on luck.

The way to fix it is to get over the fact that there's a lot of problems and to just start working on one at a time. A large problem is often solved by fixing subsequent issues that create that large problem. Just little fixes would make this game better like bringing back the hunter just as it was in L4D1 (visceral i know you'd like that too buddy )

That goes far beyond server modding and would require a completely new game to be created. I too would love some sort of merge between L4D1 and L4D2, but it's not viable and the amount of time and work it would take would require an entire mod team many weeks, if not months.

Point of the story is, nothing you say is even relevant. Write a letter to valve, im sure they will make a brand new game just because you think some things need to be better.

Valve made a shitty game, no one knows what they were thinking.

Its time to pack your bags and just walk away.
