I've started this thread for people who would like to play in the upcoming highlander tournament but who don't have a highlander team and who might otherwise struggle to find the 9 players required to participate.

Please provide some information about classes you're happy to play, your approximate level of skill and experience and most importantly on which side of the Atlantic you live. (I might ask a mod to separate the thread by continent later if it gets too cluttered in here.)

I'm looking for a team for the event so here's my info:

Classes: My 6v6 main class is medic but in Highlander I'm happy to play any class other than demoman. That said when it comes to scout, pyro and sniper you could probably do a lot better than me for your team.

Skill: Low (maybe edging low/mid for med but it's difficult to say without proper league experience I probably over rate myself)

Experience: Over 200 lobbies, mixes at various levels up to euro div 4, 850 hours played but no league experience. I've been having internet and PC problems which have put me off searching for a team and put teams off picking me up when I've been invited to tryout. By the time this happens they should all be fixed. Internet seems to be sorted, my PC has been taken away to be repaired and my back up laptop seems to be running tf2 stably.

I suck at spy.

Classes: My main is demoman, which I play 6v6 as well. I'm the kind of demo who likes a lot of heals and uber/kritz, and who focuses on a ton of damage output. I can also play soldier and spy decently, but not amazingly.

Skill: Mid (at demo), low/mid at soldier, no idea for spy

Experience: A bunch of lobbies/pug.nas, one season of esea-o, 2 seasons of cevo-a, one of cevo-m

I doubt posting your 6v6 skill level for your class does not entirely count. Competitive highlander felt like a whole new game for me. However I guess it helps.

Skill:
-Highlander skill, low. However I can easily grasp what I need to know. I have the basics grounded for HL Demoman, and Engineer. My Sniper aim is getting better as well.

Experience:
-HL experience doing lobbies, and rang a few times for UGC.

Classes: Any and all. I don't know explosive rollouts, but I have competency with every class in basic combat.

Skill level: Unfortunately, even as a writer for a competitive site, I don't pug or lobby very often. So, uh, low. Being brutally honest here.

Experience: I love Highlander, though. I've played TF2Lobby, I've played with Free on his semi-competitive nights, I know what I'm doing in theory.

Big shout-out for Mutated--the dude's a great team player, a good Scout, and a decent Sniper. He's subbed for me in Highlander matches, and he adapts quickly to team dynamics. With some practice in a good team, this guy's solid gold. Pick him up!

I can assure you, competitive highlander is MUCH easier as demo than 6 v 6, because there's only one of your counter class and demos tend to wreck a lot of the utility classes

Experience:
6v6
- 250 lobbies
- Lots of scrims
- In first season of CEVO-a as mentioned above
Highlander
- about 10 lobbies

My strong points:- good game sense ( i understand when to push, and how to play very agressivly)
- Good flank coverage ( I roam on my team, I'm used to working with the scouts/utilities)
- Good comms.
- Leadership ability
Weak points:
- DM isnt as strong as i would like, but i work on it daily
- Have issues with high level scouts on occasion

Other classes I play.
- Pyro (I often will switch to pyro given the map)
- Scout ( Several of my teams strategies involve me playing scout, instead of soldier, and then having us pick up a sniper, as such I've developed my scout to a point where i can hold my own.)
- Demoman (Understand the rollouts, with practice can execute them well, I also have good airshot and pill aim. Though I am quite weak at ammo management.)

I also have a 35 slot mumble that I could share with whatever team picks me up if needed.

btw, i ping best to chicago (about 35)

I'll believe it when I hear it from someone with credible highlander experience. For now though, thanks for your opinion.

I play the Spy, I have 400 hours on the class and can't really give a skill rating since...you know..it's the Spy class lololol. But I have experience of Spy and Medic in 6's as well. Though not as much as you wonderful comp regulars.

Classes: Sniper is probably my best class. But I do enjoy and play Demoman quite a bit more. Either of those would be my top choices. I could also play Scout/Heavy if needed. I've got 250-300 hours each on Demoman and Sniper. maybe 100-150 each on scout and heavy. (Reset stats)

Experience: Played ETF2l Highlander back in October (Has it really been that long, woah) as heavy and our team wasn't super serious but we did pretty well. 2-2 or something. I forget. Tried playing in cevo-a this season as demoman but my team was a bunch of wussies and all quit before we played more then 1 match. Don't lobby at all really. Don't really like it. I MGE quite a bit though.

Availability: East Coast. I'm available most nights. Matches at 8-9 o'clock would be the best. Anything later in the night is iffy. I'm free on the weekends for the most part. Just have to know in advance pretty much.

Classes: Spy, primarily. I also play Soldier and Heavy. I could, in theory, play several other classes at replacement level but I'm not a specialist in them.

Skill: Tough to say because spy isn't a comp class, but I think that this video shows how good I am:



Mid+? As for Soldier, I subbed for a failed CEVO-A team, so imagine about that level. Low. I'm a very reliable player. Heavy also isn't a comp class, but I've owned in 6v6 lobbies and scrims as full time heavy using the GRU, and overall I'd say that I'm one of the best heavies, but not quite at the highest level of heavy play(like toilethumor or polk if anyone knows them). So, Mid +/High? I should note that I don't have the ability to have a microphone right now because I play in a silent location with headphones, but I do have great communication abilities in every other way, and being at a university computer means my ping is insanely low.

Experience: UGC Highlander league, Vintage Gentlemanne's Club team leader(we arent playing in this, just me). About 120 highlander lobbies/matches, roughly 40 as spy.

Region: USA, East.

Positions: Sniper (preferred), Soldier, Demoman/Scout (I'm well-rounded with most classes, however).

Skill: Upper Low/Mid-ish, in terms of competitive, I'd say. I'm not too sure how to appropriately define it.

Experience: I've played since pre-launch Beta, with very little competitive experience. However, I still feel that I'd do well in a competitive setting.

Region: South, Central. CDT (Central Daylight Time)

Scheduling: Evenings and weekends, preferably good for CDT; Classes may offset the schedule a tad, but 5:30 PM+ on Monday/Wednesday and 7:30 PM+ on Tuesday/Thursday work fine.
