doc that blows about your computer, maybe post your specs so we can see if its even possible? IDK if you did that in some other thread yet or not. I would say ever since l4d1, games have turned to corner on what you need to run them. Ever since the i7's are the standard, games are tuned more towards that. I spent just under $1200 for comp and monitor for apretty nice setup. Mine may have the lowest of the 3 i7s, but still run BF with high fps (i cant see it, but has to be at least 70) with graphics all the way up(just not anti-aliasing and the other one, thats ont he lowest). And all i have is an outdated nvidia 9800 with 3gb ram. I just got that card cause it was cheap, but when i get more cash my rig is SLI compatible.

You don't need an i7 for any game to run pretty smoothly at decent, common resolutions. A c2d OC'd to its max potential can run the game at 1680x1050 smoothly with pretty decent graphics, and a c2q will be plenty fine for high resolutions/graphics given you have a pretty good graphics card. There's few games that really need an i7 for smooth gameplay aside from Crysis and BC2, which is subpar with its optimization.

rofl, i used my tax return back in march. and damnit all, i HAVE beastly comp, its just the cpu slowin me down i think. going to ask a friend about getting a heatsink/fan for it.

right now im running at around 25-30 fps, which is kinda playable, but any lag after that just turns me into a mobile spawn point, and thats about it.

I said that 6 years ago with my pc. Spent over 2.5 Grand (Monitor and speakers were 1k alone back then)

You can build a fuckin boss ass comp for pretty much 500-800$ Might be 1 click behind the times. But saving 500$ on an i7 is a good choice. Hyperthreading isnt worth 500$ imo.

once i switch jobs in 2 weeks ill spring for a heatsink/fan combo or just get a better processor. till then, unless my bitch of a friend comes and helps me out im pretty much stuck being a spawn point for ian :(
