It has a "SLIGHT" resemblance to Arena. and i mean slight.

Dota is nowhere near balanced. The only reason why DOTA is more balanced then HoN right now is because dota has over 120+ heroes. HoN doesn't even have 60.

Unlike hon, dota has every type of hero to counter every other type of hero. HoN doesn't have the luxury yet. If you want to keep talking shit about a game that's in beta go ahead. HoN is 10x faster paced then dota was, reason why alot of dota players cant handle it. Ganks that would take 2-3 minutes now take 30 seconds.

Oh also, if you dont know there is a 12,000 tourny hosted by MYM. Yes MYM, one of the top clans from dota, wc3, & CS. I mean this is only what? the 6th tourny worth money now..in a beta game? no way.

swiftblade, (does take some good placement and rightclick following skills with good map awareness)
Blacksmith [all you do is spam spells and hope for multi-casts]
Moon queen [works just like swiftblade pretty much]

Silencer [use your ult at battles, spam your first ability on enemies]

The rest will take some knowledge, time, awareness, timing, lanemanship, skill, & knowledge of every hero & what spells they use and when to use them with the items you hold.

The biggest problems i see with new players is that they dont know what items to build and most of the recommended items are not situational. With Push staff not being able to push Magic immune targets it's not so easy to stop a tempest ult.

Watch these videos in order, each of them being in importance and relevance.
HoN/Dota takes time to be be considered "better then the rest".

Yeah there is a very small learning curve but it's the "war games tactics" and estimating your opponents moves with general skill and luck of the roll that will distinguish you. Although no matter if your apm is 250 or 50, just one black sheep in your team can destroy a 40-80 minute game.

Every game is to be expected different, you can play a 100 minute game your score being 50-20 and still lose because they genocide you and push your throne in under your 90 second re-spawn time. It's happened to me, trust me.

Its a fun and addicting game, you'll get mad, you'll think you're the best player, and your support play will go un-noticed. In the end it's more about your W/L/Assist[notice you'll see my assists is 1337 :P] ratio more then your KD as it's what most competitive clans look for even if you call it your "pub account"

It's not so much about being squishy, its about the ease of use really. Every hero can be considered "squishy"

Also, moxy is this position at XPL have any money involved? As little as it may be, any extra money would be great right now because I think i might of got the position.

I learned how to play HoN on MM and Arachna (Back when MM would have 520 MS in stalk, and barrel roll would roll onto the target and stay there)

It's a game that you gotta stick with when you first start, you will get agitated and what not at first, but once you get the hang of it and start getting kills on the reg, it's fun.
