I'm researching buying a new TV. I'm looking at this one so far:

Really? Worth it? I'm not sure I want to pay for 240Hz when I'll be watching TV in 60Hz anyways.
How's the sound quality on it?

LGs are always in like the Top 5 in HDTV rankings. You can't go wrong with one.

If you want to save a few bucks and go with an off brand, go for a Vizio. I use one as my monitor (Originally bought for my Xbox 360 but I sold that) and its got an amazing picture quality (L4D never looked better IMO). .... My order got put on hold because they thought it was a fraudulent purchase. Now I have some investigation ticket submitted and I have to call back tomorrow to find out the results.
I better have this freaking TV by the weekend for the first Gator game!

I don't know. I signed up for the newegg preferred account, they said I could start making purchases immediately.
Maybe because the first purchase was for $1300?

Yeah, back when I moved and my family bought a whole bunch of new stuff for our new place the credit card company called my mom about 10 times asking about possible fraudulent charges on the card.

Yea I had to deal with that stuff when I built my last computer.
And when I moved from Phoenix to Florida; I drove and suddenly there were charges on my card from arizona, new mexico, texas, alabama.... etc. So I got calls from citi bank asking if my card had been stolen, heh.

i signed up for that and spent about the same first time, they didnt say anything. probably random.

happened to me because of changing addresses. My dad lived in Nevada and i was in cali so i avoided shipping charges and electronic waste recycling fee which on my huge order saved me like $150 and then had my dad ship it to me for only like $50. But because i changed addresses they put my account on hold. it took about a week to get it settled and i had to change a product cause it sold out while i was waiting. what a bitch.

Son of a..... That better not be the issue. Because I noticed when I was checking out that the billing address wasn't the same as my shipping address. Since I've just moved from Arizona to Florida, the shipping address I updated. The billing address was auto-filled in with my Phoenix address and I didn't bother changing it since it was going on the preferred account anyhow.

Ugh.

Also, LG and Viewsonic always the way to go, if you're looking at surround sound to slap on that bad boy always go with logitech/THX or Sony :D Have fun when it shows up.

Heh, I remember that night. Everybody and their mother was online talking about how Best Buy had a $10 TV. Then, about 20 minutes later, everyone being pissed off because their order got canceled.
