because a lower sensitivity was right for you
doesn't mean it will be right for everyone |

Grip: claw/fingertip
Sensitivity: 16" w/ high accel. Takes about a 2" flick for a 180 180 turn: flick Wrist: floating, fixed Elbow: on desk, pivots Shoulder: fixed Comments: going to copy paste a post I made on natf2 a bit ago in the thread about tracking: sensitivity does not matter for tracking, unless your using something so high that you're getting pixel skipping/cannot make small corrections, or something so low that you need to move your mouse faster than it can track. Use whatever is comfortable for you and learn to control your mouse better to compensate. It's 100% about your mouse control. Most people find it easier to have perfect mouse control at a lower sens just because there is more room for error in your mouse movements, but obviously the lower you go the more you have to compensate by increasing your mouse speed. I can switch between a 2.5" 360 and an 18" 360 without effecting my aim at all, and you probably wouldn't be able to tell a difference by speccing me because I'm comfortable with my mouse control at both those sensitivities IMO, the biggest mistake people make when trying to aim is moving their mouse too much. The reason flicking doesn't work for most people is because you are relying very heavily on muscle memory to put your xhair where you want it, and not very many people have the hand-eye coordination to flick to specific pixels on their screen, even if you think you're flicking where you intended to. Tracking, you simply match your xhair speed to the enemies movement speed and predict which direction they are going to move in, requiring much less mouse movement, aka room for error. Instead of needing muscle memory to tell you exactly where to put your xhair, you just move your mouse at a single steady speed(different against each class) and predict their movement also you'll notice that players who can track well can dm well on every class. prediction and tracking are more closely related than most people think. |
