look, basically, here's the thing with credit cards you need to understand. credit cards are a great way to build your credit, but just because you have a high limit, doesn't mean you are supposed to reach that limit. if you dont have the money, dont put it on your credit card. pay them off in full, then you won't be sitting there having to pay for your $20 purchase + $70 in interest

I don't have ANY credit cards. I didn't even realize i said that post rofl, anyway credit cards are for women because they ruin mens lives with them, it's their theoretical job.
This is the reason why i stay with debt.

little known fact: once you ditch the specific card you built credit with, that credit is gone. its not something that carries over to your actual credit score. they may have changed that though. last time i checked was over 3 years ago.

I believe things are different now, doc. Either way, opening new accounts slightly lowers your score, and longevity helps it. If you keep your money with one or two credit unions and have credit cards through them.. I don't see why you'd close them, either directly or through inactivity, if your intentions are to keep a good credit score/history.
Omerta, credit cards are for people who can actually manage their funds properly, which you clearly cannot. They are only as harmful as the person holding the account allows them to be. Instead of your heavy overdraft fees, you would have only had to deal with minor financing fees if you didn't have enough money at the time to cover all your expenses. Have fun when you finally decide to buy a car or house and need a loan.
P.S. It's debit ffs.

I run a business because my father got diagnosed with partial Parkinson's, i go to college for ROTC, and have been going to court for over 3 years going on 4 starting july.
You try paying for a lawyer for 4 years on top of everything else with a job under 40k a year. I've bought 2 cars in my life time and maintained 5 dead beat vehicles, lived on my own since 17, & i have a bastard child in Canada because she "didn't want to lose me" and stopped taking her birth control medication without telling me, which is another court case of it's own.
I can go on with the "sob" story that is my life but you're irrelevant & the basis of my argument has been stated. Also your useless advice about "how to handle my checking accounts" is pointless as i stated the reason WHY i over drafted the account to begin with, but your tunnel vision obviously has you down the path of "righteousness"
I don't enjoy personally flaming but, i HATE when people get personal with my life if you know nothing about it. Quit being a conceited cock sucker, your E-peen with thank you later.
