No class is harder than the next, simply because noone has yet reached the peak of a class and probably never will, although TLR for soldier and Seb for demo have come close

Scout and Soldier are your DM based classes. Positioning is a part of DM so don't mix up the two. Demoman and Medic are the classes that you can be good at with game sense and TF2 knowledge / awareness etc.

But obviously you need both to be great anyways

every class needs good movement. I can tell the difference between a good and a bad demoman for movement. They may both have good aim, but to avoid being killed is the next level skill.

It's like good and great scouts. Good scout will 2 shots you. Great scouts will make your whole team waste a clip of ammo and kill still your medic.

after playing every class, I can say the most punishing to mistakes is demoman, and the most difficult is scout.
