Default SalTV 16-team 3v3 KOTH tournament registration!
On Sunday, October 23rd, eXtv and SalTV will jointly present a 3v3 single-elimination King of the Hill cup! Registration is open to the first 16 teams to enter the tournament, and the prize is 3 signed in-game hats - one for each player. The winning players get to select any hat from the Mann Co. Store!

3v3 KOTH is a unique format invented by the Lanified! team in Calgary. Class limit is 1 per class, and there will be a weapon whitelist that attempts to even the playing field for less-used classes – for instance, no sandvich or GRU for the heavy, but pyro will be allowed the degreaser/axtinguiser combo. The matches are very DM-heavy, and creative off-classing can be the deciding factor in winning games!

There will be a standardized config to use for each match; a few Dallas and Chicago servers will be available for teams that are too lazy to use their own servers. If you use your own server, you are REQUIRED to provide STV connect info and an STV demo.

Schedule:
Ro16: KOTH_Rocktop (Begins at 1:00PM Eastern / 12:00PM Central / 10:00AM Pacific)
Ro8: KOTH_Ashville (Begins at 1:45PM Eastern / 12:45PM Central / 10:45AM Pacific)
Semifinals: KOTH_Badlands (Begins at 2:30PM Eastern / 1:30PM Central / 11:30AM Pacific)
Finals: KOTH_pro_Viaduct_rc3 (Begins at 3:15PM Eastern 2:15PM Central / 12:15PM Pacific)

Teams must agree to their server usage in this thread before the games begin on Sunday. A team that does not have 3 members on server at the scheduled time is subject to losing one point per 5 minutes; since matches are played to 4 points, a team that is 20 minutes late effectively forfeits the round and is eliminated.

Unlocks allowed:
Scout – Bonk, Fish, Force-a-nature
Soldier – The Original, Direct Hit, Righteous Bison, Disciplinary Action, Frying Pan, Pain Train
Pyro – Degreaser, Backburner, Axtinguisher, Postal Pummeler, Backscratcher, Homewrecker
Demo – Scottish Resistance, Frying Pan, Pain Train
Heavy – Eviction Notice, Warrior’s Spirit, Brass Beast
Engineer – Frontier Justice, Southern Hospitality, Gunslinger
Medic – Crossbow, Blusauger, Kritzkrieg, Quick Fix, Ubersaw, Solemn Vow
Sniper – Razorback, Tribalman’s Shiv, Huntsman
Spy – Ambassador, Cloak and Dagger, Your Eternal Reward

Use of any other weapons is not allowed. If you use a banned weapon and receive a warning by the other team (preferably in text chat on the server, as demos log this), then continued use of the weapon will result in a forfeit for your team.

Registration:
Registration for this tournament goes to the first 16 teams to reply to this thread with the following format:

Team name
Team Captain name - Steam Profile URL
Team Member name - Steam Profile URL
Team Member name - Steam Profile URL
Backup member name - Steam Profile URL

You are only allowed one backup. Please ensure that everyone on your team can play for the given times on Sunday, October 23rd before signing up!!

One final note - only teams with 3 members on the roster will be counted towards the 16. Signing up your team with only one name as a placeholder doesn't cut it. ;P

Quick heads-up - I'm changing the first map from Nucleus to KOTH_Rocktop. Nucleus was a bad choice for 3v3, since it's so large and encourages snipers that severely slow down play. That means the first round will be on KOTH_Rocktop. This should be the last change I have to make, I swear!
