I've formatted this to make it easier to navigate so sift through what you want and feel free to use this as a thread to ask and comment on w/e, be easy on me!
Alright, so I got a lot of stuff to get out there so everything is as transparent as I can make it, I want everyone to see how the poll went and what TGL's response to it all is. Please read the following understanding that it is the Communities opinion that was presented in the results and I am just posting and giving my take on it: 314 people responded to the poll which was staggering IMO. Poll Data: Questions 1-3 combined: cp_coldfront: 18% cp_freight: 17% cp_yukon: 16% cp_well: 15% cp_dustbowl: 8% cp_freight_final: 6% cp_obscure: 6% ctf_turbine: 3% cp_follower: 3% cp_prolane: 3% cp_mainline: 3% cp_waste: <1% cp_fastlane:<1% Hopefully that adds up to 100 or somewhere near given the rounding :P but yea nothing really surprising here I dont think, the argument between Freight and Yukon is still raging on with support for both pretty even, Coldfront surprised me with how many votes it got but I expected it top4, and Well picked up momentum in the CEVO meeting so hopefully everyone gives that map a shot and tests out some of the new unlocks on it. Question 4: How should TGL handle the Natascha? -Drop the Banhammer: 68% -Limit Heavy to 1: 13% -Dont care: 10% -Keep it as is: 9% I thougt the numbers would have been a little closer with both limiting and allowing it to be a little higher then they were but most of the feedback I got through textual responses indicated the decision was a mixed response to people thinking the weapon is slightly overpowered but moreso just annoying and not conducive to fun play. Question 5: How should TGL handle the Engie Unlocks? -Ban Wrangler only - 42% -Leave as is for Preseason: 21% -Ban Wrangler/Frontier: 17% -Limit Engie to 1: 11% -Ban the Frontier: 9% -Ban Gunslinger: 0% Alright so we could have decided to allow the wrangler to be used but looking at the maps and thinking about just how the weapon fits into play styles and what I've seen and heard from pugna and lobbies I just went with the majority on this one, I'll keep an eye out for whats going on with the weapon though I suppose. What are the biggest issues in current TF2 Leagues? -Poor admins: 40% -Lack of Community Input: 34% -Abusive Admins: 12% -Price to Play<Free: 12% -Match Config: 2% So it seems like some leagues are giving off a very clear image of admins who dont do their jobs. Based on responses its mainly TWL with a few complaints about ESEA thrown in there. All I can say to that point is Im here, Im listening, and I want to fix that problem for the players through TGL. As for Community input that was primarily focused at ESEA overall and a few select decisions on TWL's part (indulge forced in that one season in particular with out player say.) My response to that is I hope you guys are seeing what I'm doing and recognizing my level of importance placed on what you guys want, thats basically my main hope is that I get the majority of what the community wants right so feedback is always welcome. Question 7: Are you planning on playing in TGL Season 5? - Not Sure yet: 53% - Yea the League looks Promising: 35% - No we're doing other leagues: 6% - Only if there are prizes: 4% - No prizes no game: 2% I hope I can convince the unsure to play TGL! I really don't know what you guys want that would put this league in the Yes column but hopefully whatever gripes you have with other leagues can be addressed and rectified in TGL so long as you make me aware of them. If your thinking of signing up please do so, I know a lot of people dont want to sign up till others do but someones got to start it! :D Question 8: Look below question 9 see a point by point response to all the posts! Question 9: What leagues do you plan on competing in? - I was asked not to post exact results by other league personal which I understandable and respectable but what I can say is that TGL was not more then 8% away from the top two leagues which were virtually tied. The 4th place league was considerably further down and the 5th even more so. Common sense stuff really but I think considering what I am hoping TGL will become that kind of support would be appreciated and I hope to build on it. Alright so lets go through some of the actual text responses I got and address them with answers for the person who asked the question and the community to see TGL's plans: Questions and Points Answered "Prizes get better competition which is what the higher ups are looking for" - I am completely understanding of this and TGL is hard at work to make this happen. It's something that I would say is likely to occur but at least for the time being and maybe the first season I have to be realistic and say we need teams to show that we have a fully functioning league before I can expect the money to come in. Even at its worst I think/hope to offer a better experience then teams have experienced elsewhere in the past. "Split on too many leagues to join, lots of options for a low/mid team" - I agree! There is a ton of competition out there right now and TGL is trying to identify itself to the community to make their decision easier. I think the fairest way to say is that I believe any team looking into UGC/TWL and CEVO-A would be perfect for TGL. Teams looking into CEVO-M with the understanding that they may not have the best shots at winning the money would also fit well in TGL and all other teams at higher levels would be welcomed as well of course but I understand the draw at that level is mainly focused around the $$$$. I think teams should just ask themselves what their looking for in a league and what league has met their expectations in what. If TGL makes your cut then Im appreciative of that, if not let me know howcome. Hopefully that makes your decision easier. "Prizes, Competition, integrated stats/demos/scheduling" - Prizes I've covered, The competition level Im hoping for and realistically expecting has been covered and its just down to those teams signing up and getting the ball rolling! Stats and Demo's are both in the works already and could be out for this upcoming season for sure! Scheduling I don't really understand the question but we're picking the match date dealine right now and it will not conflict with the other leagues as much as possible! TGL mirrors what sports often times do and what CEVO A does with an East/west division but what makes us different is we like sports (MLB?) allow for cross conference play at a certain point in the season to balance out playoff seeding. This style of scheduling can change however to better suit the teams involved. "Not a well known league like CEVO/ESEA" - Absolutely a good point, but every league needs to build to that point and how can we expect to do that unless we get teams to help us out and let us help them. To some this may be a deal breaker but TGL has been around 4 seasons under its belt and a huge tournament in the Roughneck Challenge so it's not like this league is stepping in blindfolded. Trust me, I would not be wasting my time If I didnt fully believe this league can improve on what is lacking elsewhere. "My past experience with TGL didnt go too well so idk?" - Im sorry for whatever happened that you had a bad experience but all I can say is that this is a totally new crew of people running it this time around and I'll be sure to not make those mistakes again so long as you guys keep telling me whats going on with your end of the stick. "What makes TGL better then the shitty leagues" - lol, well I really don't want to bash on other leagues even with my personal dissatisfaction at times because each is offering something different and I have the upmost respect for them, especially CEVO and ESEA which have been my competitive home primarily (shoutout to Jinn aka Graham! :D). What I will say however is the problems that are widely talked about with some of the leagues are the exact points Im trying to adjust and fix/offer here at TGL. I could have applied to join an admin staff somewhere else and do similar work but I feel that TGL has a much different system with a much wider variety of things to offer down the road thanks to our sponsors and what not. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Conclusion! Phew! I'm tired after all of that. I just want to thank all the people who voted for me.... er in the poll! Your input was awesome and I appreciate all the time taken! I hope I've done an acceptable job of presenting you with what I think is the fairest and most complete league plan and now Im relying on you guys to help me out and sign up! We have several people who have applied for admin and I am confident in all of their abilities to perform well in TGL - I'll hold them to the same standard I hold myself! I think all thats left is to show some of the trolly responses I got that made me lol: "I couldn't possibly play in TGL, with Harblue winning ESEA I've decided to ragequit this dying game and sell my body for sex instead!" "Not enough Minerals" and my personal favorite which I have already begun work to fulfill: "brute singing the song that ehfk sang in YUD" - which was Low by Flo Rida and yes I am going to make this video and post it up, but not for a while becaus as you can see im sort of busy with league stuff. After all of this and with most of the important stuff finalized, if you feel, and I hope you do, that TGL is a league you and your team would enjoy playing on please go to http://league.totalgamingnetwork.com/ and register/sign up for Season 5!!!!! Thanks for your time in reading all of this, you've seen what I think, what do you think?

Nice work so far. I'd like to sign my team up, but between CEVO-M and ESEA we've got four matches a week, which is more than enough to keep us busy. Maybe next season. :D
