Heads-up: the update has also broken quite a few servers. I and several people I know are being plagued with constant crashes. And Sourcemod is broken!

Yep my server is dead. The good news is the demos didn't break this time.

So I have been trying Tomislav and comparing it to good ol' Sasha. It's very interesting because like the Ambassador, it's real downside is not DPS but fire rate.

Tomislav allows you to:

1) Kill players a bit faster when going from point to point
2) Protect the medic from ambushes (Important!)
3) Handle enemies using cover a bit better

However the spin-up time is way overrated, thanks to corners and gamesense you can always have your minigun ready when you need it. Now, the spin-down time? That's the real deal.

I haven't tried it in a competitive setting yet (Founding new team, yadda yadda) but it looks like a godsend here, making the heavy not just more viable but more skill-based and funnier to play while keeping the speed of the game.

But let me tell you, the difference is quite small and for pubs I find both equally as useful, a perfect sidegrade!

Saw it, and no the Tomislav doesn't outdamage the normal Minigun for 4 seconds. In fact, outdamaging time deoends on range so it's weird to claim that.

BTW, if the Big Earner gets cloack on every kill I think I must try it ASAP. I love using the Ambassador and while being killed by direct pipes and rockets looks like way too big of a drawback it looks fun.

Post a comment on his article about the Tomislav. I haven't tried it yet. The Big Earner does sound pretty nice. I gotta try different combos of the Spy weaps now.

Agreed, I hate it.

New crafting menu rocks.

1. Select "Smelt Class Weapons" and you get all the functionality of all the weapon smelting blueprints together.

2. Sort your backpack, and it'll prefer to put vintage and stuff behind.

3. After selecting what you want to combine/smelt, but before hitting the ok on it, you can easily just highlight to see if it's the right version of the weapon. If it's not, then you can click it, click on the same exact weapon again, and it'll swap it for another one of the same name right away.

The only bad I see is with the crafting weapons menu, as all the weapons in there are listed in the order of their addition to the game i.e. their updates. People who stopped playing for a while or are completely new will have a harder time looking through it without the ability to sort alphabetically or by class.

I strongly hate the new craft system. It decided to use my untradeable metal/achievement earned weapons to craft the following
-Atomizer #19
-Splendid Screen #14
-Reserve Shooter #11

At least it didnt use any untradable stuff for my Shahshahh #4 (I have no idea how to spell that)

Almost crafted a vintage stuff in my Overdose, Disciplinary Action and metal. I find it quite dumb the way that dupes stack behind their vintage counterpart.

It's Shahanshah.

you have to manually find the items you want to craft, otherwise it will take whatever it sees first.

new crafting system is ok, but needs a lot of work IMO

I prefered when you just picked up the items you wanted to craft and dropped them in the crafting window. Simple, easy, you can see what you're doing, no need to troll through menus to find what you want. The only downside is you need to know or look up the blue print's first. That's not that much of a downside tbh in my opinion if the information is made readily available directly from the crafting page as a reference.

They nerfed Tomislav, now it's only a 40% faster spin-up time.

This video shows that even BEFORE the nerf, it was on rocky ground and the DPS loss was aparent.

Both miniguns kill the Medic at the same time. This means Sasha is faster for killing anything with more than 150 HP even if for some reason you can't manage the spin-up. So since that video was recorded BEFORE the nerf, it means that Tomislav is useless now. Meh.

All my interest for Tomislav vanished because people think the Heavy big drawback is spin up and not that his main weapon can't deal damage in pulses and makes the heavy very slow while firing it. The spin-up is minor in that regard.
