3 of 4 friends have so far said it's not worth the money to play the MP. If anything, I'll probably still torrent it for the SP.

Its a sad state of affairs. They fucked up wolfenstein. Ironsites do not belong in wolfenstein. Not being able to sprint and shoot at the same time do not belong in wolfenstein. The netcode is god awful. They're working on a promode but so far the competitive community feels like its going to bomb just like ETQuake Wars did. We're all very sad :(

Why did ET quake wars fail as a competitive game? The few times I played it, seemed like it'd fit perfectly.

I thought Black Mesa has been slated for a release by the end of the year sometime.. just with an unknown date? I'm actually surprised they've forever claimed for it to be free, and that's one game I'd openly pay for.

Hopefully the radio silence from the Black Mesa guys since they released that trailer is a sign that they're working on it as much as possible instead of generating hype. Natural Selection 2 and Black Mesa both seem years off, but they've dedicated to a 2009 release. Let's hope. Valve was nice enough to give their mod the nod, I don't know if they'd be so nice to let them charge for a HL1 clone.

on topic, I've loved every wolf game so far, Wolfenstein looks to continue the kickassness. Will be buying.

Game sucked. Netcode sucked. Vehicles were over powered. Maps were imbalanced. There was no promod. Bad beta release.

Been playing the shit out of Wolf. Nothing better than getting the upgraded sniper rifle and blowing off limbs from a mile away. Or shooting a nazi in the throat and watching them gurgle and keel over. Or shooting a female Nazi assassin in the cunt while she charges at you.

This game is hella fun if you grew up with oldschool fps games. Don't listen to the complainers... it's great. Only thing I can think to complain about is the city hubs getting repetitive, but I usually have a new upgrade to try out when I go into a hub, so it's kind of like a testing ground.
